Rosewood Matakauri Hotel - Queenstown

Sipping cocktails on our patio while soaking in the lake views was amazing. The friendly staff surprised us with a chocolate cake for our anniversary, making our first night special.

We had a terrific stay with incredible service and quality food.

Booked a room with outstanding views of the lake you will ever have. The bathroom was large with a hairdryer and soft bathrobes.

The hotel property was wonderful with stunning and exceptional location short walk to mountains and local hikes and great conversation. The staff were excellent and made me feel comfortable. The breakfast was magnificent with a wide array of meals. Food was exceptional and I have nothing but incredible memories from this trip...

I had high hopes for this place, but it was just so quiet and bland, not cozy at all. Plus, my sweet suite experience woudl ve been way better with some complimentary treats, but no, i had to ask, and it was embarrassing. A tad overrated, almost thought of giving a good review but just couldn't.

Staying here was a dream! The spacious Lake View Suite provided amazing views of the mountains and lake, with a fine bath that captured these vistas as well. The attentive staff treated us like family, and the culinary delights made our evenings nice. Don't miss out on the nearby walking trails.

The views from the suite were fine, and I loved the outdoor jetty for swimming. Highly recommend scheduling a massage at the spa-it's an experience you won't forget!

You can explore the beautiful Wilson Bay Track, just under 2 km away, for a peaceful stroll amid nature was nice this hotel perfect for those who love discovering the outdoors while enjoying city vibes.

The staff here are respectful, and the room is nicely furnished with a book and breathtaking views.

The dining/lounge area felt a bit quiet at times, which might not bother everyone but could use a livelier atmosphere. Despite the excellent suite, the soundproofing between bathrooms was less than ideal for privacy.

The marvellous location is just a 15-minute walk to a large public park. Exceptional service located within 9 miles of the airport. the staff is excellent and friendly. A great selection of food is offered for a continental breakfast.

More accessible seating in dining areas would be helpful.

It was just a good match for a day tour in Queenstown with excellent value. I loved how they set up a cozy spot for me to enjoy 3am Wimbledon with cookies and drinks. Make sure to explore the nearby Wilson Bay Track for a relaxing nature walk.

The view from my Lake View Suite was amazing, allowing me to wake up to fine landscapes every morning. I appreciated the spacious layout of the room, with a fantastic walk-in wardrobe that kept my luggage out of sight. The outdoor jetty offered a good place for a refreshing swim. The nearby Wilson Bay Track was a lovely escape into nature, perfect for leisurely strolls by the lake.

I was blown away by the view from our room! The serenity and beauty just made everything so much better, and the staff treated us like family, always ready to help with a smile. The massage I had in the spa was great.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but worth every penny.
